This is a great site! We bought an LR2 in 2007 and bought a second one (2010 demo) earlier this month. It has not been without its problems though. As we drove to pick up our new one the old one's alternator quit for the third time. It is currently stranded in Connecticut as they try to stop a lean in a radiator line that dripped on the alternator and shorted it out. Nevertheless, we have never had a vehicle that so perfectly matched our needs.

 

Welcome. Not sure if it is related, but many forum members have had replacement alternators (non-factory) that did not last very long. I'm not sure about the quality of the rebuilt ones from an electrical parts standpoint, I am on my second in six months on an older Disco.
