Hello everyone I am RezzaHD and I own a 1997 Land Rover Discovery and would love to learn more about my vehicle and help to make it perform better overall.

1. Welcome.

2. Consult our technical area in the Disocvery 1 section of the forum for lists of things to do for high miles Discos, lots of write ups with pictures of various routine repairs, etc.

3. Download the whole set of factory tech manuals and owners manuals, called the RAVE - free link below.

4. Consider an Ultra Guage to improve instruments (and scanner in one unit) - the stock temp gauge is not very precise. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...L0trRXOc0FffKA

5. Run a "X"W40 oil, 30 weight is too slim. A good cheap widely available oil is Shell Rotella (conventional or synthetic), the diesel rating provides more cleaning of the engine.
