Hey there I'm new to the website I have a 1998 Range 4.6 HSE. It was a gift from my father. Of course like most of you guys know it does have water in the spare tire compartment (fixed). I fixed the alternator, maf sensor, new plugs and wires. I have more problems than that though. I have a oil leak by the fan water pump area, coils innstead Of the EAS system (. iK would be nice to know what that would feel like).

welcome.... suspect you have a 4.0 motor (unless it was swapped). Oil leaks on the front timing cover are pretty common...

That's probably the front seal leaking. From just behind the crank pulley. It is a bit of a PITA to replace but you can easily do it on a Saturday. If the water and oil pump and the timing chain are original, that would be a good time to replace them as well.

Welcome to the forum!

Best,

Charlie V

PS Be sure the leak isn't coming from the front of the valve covers. A much easier fix.
