Default New Member to Disco Family

Hi everyone new member long time forum lurker/reader i guess time to sign up, 4 months ago just got a 2000 Discovery II for dirt cheep few broken parts and a head gasket nothing new to me but this is my first european SUV coming from Toyota 4runner. This forum got me reading some of the topics help me pin point few wrong or bad parts put by stupid mechanics, again thanks for adding me to this great forum.

Welcome. The factory set of shop manuals is called the RAVE, free download links below. Your front prop shaft if still oem style can snap, and beat a hole in tranny, with almost no warning. The double joint end has no grease fittings. Rebuild in advance article in our tech area of the D1 forum, or go aftermarket. Plug your scanner or Ultra Gauge in to get real temp readings, factory temp gauge is built to show 50% from about 130 - 240F. Note attached pix of two different trucks, two different temps, same gauge reading. A 180F soft spring thermostat is available from places like Rovers North that will take temps down about 10 F across the board.

actually yeah I think I got the RAVE from your link thanks and for other issues you stated yes I'm actually doing them one at a time just got the head back from the shop and head gasket just arrived thanks again Savannah
