Default New member - need purchase advice

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for a new car (daily driver) and am closely considering buying a Land Rover. My biggest concern is that I need a car that will not break down and have heard horrible things about Land Rover maintenance costs. I own two Alfa Romeos so I know what it is like paying top price for frequent repairs, but I am looking for a car that won't cost me for once. I've heard mixed reviews from several people who owned one, and I know that alot depends on mileage, etc. Most of the ones I am looking at are from between 01 and 04 and have between 70 and 100 k miles on them. Do you guys think I should keep looking at Land Rovers or move on to something else? I'm on a college student budget (needs to be under $10k) and I will probably be putting 20,000 miles per year on it.

Thanks for any help,
Andy
