Hows it going guys, new to this forum just bought myself a 02 discovery II with 199k miles. For 1500$ (Prices in Cali are ridiculous). Has some leaks (wouldnt be a Land Rover without them). Rear valve cover gasket on passanger side has slight leak, and transfer case leak. Neither are sever enough that leaves drips on floor. Looking to get those addressed ASAP. And a slight squeel at about 30 MPH from front of engine, (belt maybe?). Besides that everything seems to be running fine. I got an SD model so no sunroof leaks to deal with, has minor headliner sagging( common) and paint oxidation, all electronics seem to be working fine and engine temps seem to be running 190-207 while moving and steady at about 217 when stationary for long periods of time. Plans for the vehicle are just a 2” lift, bigger tires, winch bumper and metal rear bumper, roof rack and update radio. Vehicle is going to start out as my daily driver with occasional lake trips and up the mountain when I go hunting with eventual goals of full on overlanding with it.
