The next time I travel that way can I drop your name and just get a warning ticket ?
Not that I have a ticket but just in case.

Na, I don't drive that fast.

Landzu,

Thanks for the reply and yes, feel free to drop my name but prepared; you'll probably be fined double

I have been very happy with my new purchase. It's fun to come up with excuses to go for a drive. Best thing is my lovely wife has even taken a liking to the Discovery. She's not happy with the leaking oil though. I've tried to explain that that is just the way it is with Land Rover's but she's not convinced.

Take care all!

Hi there! I have a 2000 Disco II and it also tinkles a little oil ( valve covers), I tell my husband that's what makes it so charming. Both my children love it. My 7 yr. old likes it because he can see out, and my 1 yr. old also for the same reason. Mommy likes it because she's from Louisiana and can get it MUDDY!!!! Enjoy your Rover!!

metro636,

Welcome to the group!. Now that you are one of the "afflicted" <grin>----- read my tech info sections at www.eurotekapg.com

There are sections related to all the major systems, and a lot of tips on specific areas to be aware of ---when owning a Land Rover.

Good motoring,

Geoman

You can try High Mileage oil a 10w40 it will slow some leaks.

Thanks for the welcome folks. Much appreciated. And thank you Landzu for the tip on oil! I will change it out this weekend.
