Yep, download that RAVE tech manual set, check out the technical section of the forum for a big to-do list, get a new set of coveralls, a pair of ramps, and map out locations of nearby auto parts stores, Harbor Freight, salvage yards, and internet listings for our favorite dismantlers and Rover based parts shops. You'll want to spend some time under the Rover checking things out. Don't worry about the small oil leaks, it is an undocumented feature for continuous automatic anti-rust application.

The maintenance list in the technical section of the forum is a good place to start. Alternators seem to be a favorite.

If you drive a lot like I do, get a cps to throw in your glove box just in case. They are only $70 and its cheap insurance. This is the one part on your engine that has a habit of leaving you stranded with no warning. Better to have it on hand than waiting days for some garage to find one. Just my 2 cents.

Is there an oil and filter that i should use that would be more suited for this type of vehicle? I'm doing the first oil change this weekend. I live in Las Vegas and it will most likely be 100+ daily till maybe early sep then it should go to high 80's mid 90's till about Oct. Also because the truck was sitting for a few months should i replace all the fluids?
