Hello everyone! I’m 71, a retired aerospace engineer and looking for a new vehicle more suited for camping, hauling and family activities involving probably mild off road travel than my BMW 750. I was kind of debating between a Subaru Outback or a Jeep GC Trailhawk but found so much positive buzz about the new LR Defender. I love the combination of ruggedness and high tech. Plus, I found that one of the colors is Tasman Blue and my one and only 3-year old grandson is named Tasman after the explorer. Thought maybe it was fate I found this vehicle! Lol.

I’d like to go for the 2021 model, but not sure when it will be available. I’m here to find out about people’s real-world experience and advice. Looking forward to learning more.
