Smile Man I love being part of the Land Rover family

So I was out filling my Disco up today when in pulls a an older gentleman with an all-original 1988 SWB RRC. He eyed up my Disco and smiled and we struck up a conversation. We sat there talking for maybe twenty five minutes about our trucks and the brand. We even opened up the doors and hoods and chatted about what we'd done or were planning to do. We left with a good handshake and went on with our lives.

What a pleasant experience. You don't have those kinds with many other brands.

I've not yet felt the love from other LR owners around these parts. In my old Subie WRX I would get waves from other 'rex owners all the time (not so much the other Subies). Then again, it's rare for me to run across an old series or defender and it's mostly mall crawlers.

I did get really excited to find out that my "new" neighbor that's been deployed as long as I've lived in my house drives a lifted D2 with an ARB front bumper. Saw it when I pulled into home today...can't wait to meet him/her!
