I am new to the LR world. I am looking to purchase an 02 Disco with 62k miles. I have heard so many stories, none from actual owners. Can anyone here tell me what to expect and even what to look for before purchasing. I am getting this from a dealer (not a LR dealers). I am also purchasing an extended warranty. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 

look for leaks and check the front driveshaft to see if the joints have grease fittings. An extended warranty is a must. Repairs can get expensive. Get ready for bad gas mileage. For some reason poeple buy these and then complain about gas mileage. It is bad, get ready.

All that said, I have to constantly work on mine and I love her. Wouldn't trade for anything else. If I won the lottery, I would buy an 04 and mod this one up for offroad. Good Luck in your purchase and welcome to the forum.
