Quick introduction
Hello,
I've been a lurker here for several months as I was debating what dd and sport utility vehicle to acquire. In reading many posts I gathered a ton of information that led me to keep the Discovery as oneof my options. I drove several 4dr pickups, Tahoes, Jeeps and fell for the Discovery. I acquired one this morning and get to pick it up tomorrow from the seller. Its got a few nits that need attention but overall its in very fine condition. I think the seller thought I was nuts when I grabbed a big pair of channel locks and a huge snap on pry bar out of my M5 after a test drive. LOL
2003 Disco II SE in Bonatti Grey with camel leather and black piping. Its got brand new Michelins 255s on the Hurricanes and needs attention on the following:
passenger side rear taillight has fogged up - leaking seal
driver side tie rod has some play - felt mild shimmy at 45 mph and there was some play in the joint
rear brakes and rotors are quite worn and the rear rotors have quite a lip on them
battery is original so I will replace asap
Look forward to providing some input to the group!
Greg
