About 8 months ago I parted with my bobtailed disco 1 and regretted it ever since so about 2 weeks ago I found a disco 2 for sale and knew straight away it had to be mine so after quite a few messages to the seller I ended up buying it and now own it, I got it quite cheap for a off road prepped d2 which I knew it needed a few jobs doing I'm half way through the list now but as it's my daily aswell I'm getting the feeling it's not got as much poke as my old 300tdi is this normal or is there anything I can do to get a bit more out of it

For starters, try cleaning or replacing your MAF sensor in the air intake. There are other TD5 engine sensors that you can try cleaning or replacing to get more umpf out your engine.
Some TD5 owners get the ECU chipped or remapped by a professional for more torque and better MPG but it costs to do this.
There are other options like removing the EGR valve and blank it off.
