Exclamation Storm Trooper

New owner and look forward to learning a lot. 2000 Disco II with brush guard. Plan on a lift soon when it is out of the shop transmission change 112k.

Welcome aboard. Nice to see a few more guys on here in the mid-atlantic area. Where are you in NC? These guys are helpful and nice about it.

FYI, not sure you will have your rover out of the shop, but a few of us are planning on making this trip next weekend. Basic rover driving skills that any stock rover can handle at an unheard of bargain price $50 for approximately 4 hours from what the rep at the dealership told me. I have not done any off-road driving and have not met any of the guys on the forum, so this will be a first for both and should be fun.

Did you get a used tranny? That kind of money for it and what kind of price to get it changed out? dealership doing it? sure hope not, read that to mean big $$$ I haven't had to deal with that yet and hoping not to have to anytime soon.

the drive shaft took out the transmission? make sure you get a drive shaft with greasable u joints and grease them at every oil change.
