I think I am about to get another Discovery II! but...
this is how every great story starts lol.
It is a 2000 D iI, automatic t. and it is having a transmission problem.
asking price is 1k.
owner says it goes just backwards, BUT not forward. lol he says there is no grinding noise or anything like that when he puts it to D. It just doesn't do anything at all.
I am planning on getting it because the problem might be something I can solve with the help of this forum.
but I also checked the transmission prices online just in case, and there are so many of them going for 200-500$ including shipping. lets say another 500 for the labor, total price of the truck would come upto 2k which I believe is not a bad deal because it has almost brand new tires, metal bumpers (front and rear), roof rack, and a winch already installed. just these parts worth more than 2k if I am not mistaken.
Has anyone ever exp. a problem like this with the transmission? I keep searching in the forum but haven't seen anything about it yet.
thanks in advance!!
