Hello Rover People,

Thanks in advance for helping; I will post and share as I go. I've never had a Rover but I want to get one. I'm thinking Disco but I'm a bit lost in motor information and which years to target my search for. I have read some here before introducing myself and so far it seems there are motors from LR, BMW, Buick & Jag (at least?) and some bad experiences with BMW motors.

I'm not afraid of fixing stuff but probably would only do fairly easy jobs myself and find a good local pro for more.

Would you please direct me to where I can find info to help select a model? I'd like to identify a few and start a Craigslist hunt vs. just pick up what's nearby.
