Default yay! I got one!

And his name is Bosley. Any good car owner knows that true pride of ownership and a personal relationship worth your car begins when you assign a name...and Bosley and I are getting to know one another. At $2500 below blue book, I kind of stole him... I guess I'll have to keep the amazing boyfriend that found him for me ~ and keep him around for a long while! (2002 silver/tan disco II SE7) can't wait to get him dirty!

You know, it sometimes takes a while to name a car. I knew my Disco would be called Mountain Goat from the first time I wheeled it, but it took me a whole year to come up with a fitting name for my Ranger, Kermit. I guess Rovers just have more personality.

Anyway, welcome to the forum. We'd love to see pics of your prize - the Disco, not the boyfriend, that is.

Haha.... Well I uploaded pics but don't know how to post them?? Plus, I have to get the brush guard powder coated, so it just looks prissy now. It's silver, butI was thinking of making the guard pastel pink... May make it too tacky, not sure. I want it tough and preppy, not trailer....

Regardless of color, if it's the factory brush guard I'd look at getting something more stout rather than powdercoating the original. You say you want to get the truck dirty, if that stock brush guard takes one good whack it will do more damage to the rig than would occur without it. I call them damage multipliers.

I don't know about pink, but I think I'm pretty conservative with the mods on mine. Don't like anything that would stand out or raise eyebrows any more than necessary.

Now some kind of camo sounds cool depending on the body color, but that would have to be either paint or paint over powdercoat (powder coat makes a great primer).

There are several ways to post pics. Probably the easiest if you uploaded them here is to go to your album page, find the picture you want, then underneath the picture it says something like "share this". Copy the IMG code and paste it to your post, the picture should show up.
