they even do that in the UK at the LR main dealerships sometimes. Not sure why or whether they don't really know or just an excuse to charge even higher prices.

 

Oh damn.. LR dealers around me just think you are a walking blank check. Either that or they don't want to do the work.

 

I am amazed at how some places don't want to take your money, or else want to take all of it!!!

 

One has to bear in mind these are average costs for labor....... Garage labour rates soar 7.5% - how expensive is your region for car repairs? | This is Money ..................the main dealership where I bought my RRS and D2 charge around £120 = $190 per hour plus very expensive parts, It's the penalty one pays for nice girlies on reception, leather chairs and free coffee all to pacify you whilst they rob you blind. Better off doing it yourself with spares from Eblag or a good secondary dealership. I know now I'd never go back to a main LR dealership for anything even a new vehicle as you can buy those in car supermarkets.

The joke is with LR main dealer snobbery in the UK you are made to feel inferior if you question an exorbitant repair bill even if they are ripping you off.
