Anyone else think corona is a joke
Things have loosened up a lot here, all the deaths over the last year have been blamed on Covid so the hospitals can collect more money. If you look at the statistics, there are way fewer deaths than other illnesses and the whole thing was a practice to see what people would do. How can a virus only attack in bars after 10 PM, and then only if you are older and have other medical issues, isolated but still get it, die without any symptoms and it is still blamed on Covid. Now they are planning on another round of stimulus checks and calling it something else. They are trying to weaken the economy and unfortunately are doing a good job of it.
This past year has ruined a lot of relationships. The dichotomy between those that think Covid is a hoax and those that don't is immense. My husband lost two family members due to Covid, my girlfriend lost a close friend just this past month and he was 41 years old, active and an engineer at one of the big three auto makers. His best friend, in his early 50's, also died from it a few day after him. No underlying health conditions. People of all age groups are susceptible and yet some still believe this to be merely political. Do I agree with the way the government has handled it all? Not necessarily. Do I think that Covid exists? Most definitely. I just had lunch yesterday with one of my ex colleagues and she had Covid in February and is STILL trying to feel like her normal self. She has an inhaler, has trouble with deep breathing, and has always been the epitome of good health. Model thin, eats right, no underlying health conditions. She coughs all the time.
It sounds as if Canada has a way to go before those that want to be vaccinated can be so. An old friend of mine works in the cardiology dept of a large hospital in Alberta and she has not been able to be vaccinated yet. My friends in the UK say that the Indian delta variant is dominant and therefore things are locked down for 4 more weeks. I think things are progressing differently throughout the world and we should all be patient and understanding of each other. I think those of us in the States who have access to the vaccine should be appreciative of it as not everyone has the option right now. I also believe it's a personal choice and am not going to argue with anyone that doesn't want to get it. I'm more interested in hearing how people on the forum are doing a year after the start of the pandemic, however, I realize that that would be piggy backing on this thread.

Yes it certainly has! I work in research and am generally appalled at how many of the public check facts by only looking at certain social media sites to make critical life decisions. Science is science and follows confirmed, repeatable and published solutions. As this latest SARS-COV-2 virus is so new, so is the changing scientific thought behind the best way to navigate the pandemic, all should realize in this modern age that we should become critical thinkers and check our sources via credible resources available. Unfortunately those sources in many cases seem to be Facebook, TikTok and other similar sites...
Indeed. Vaccine passports on the way also in several jurisdictions. There's an app for that.
Hard to take it seriously when every death is 'covid related' My relative died after years of fighting with ALS, and was listed as covid related death, also my DAd who had multiple health problems and finally passed with heart issues, also listed as a covid fatality... Obviously a cover up to make the control of the population frightened into following their made up rules. wearing a homemade mask will not protect you the same way as a medical quality mask, but everyone was wearing large weave cloth masks that only irritated the skin and caused other illnesses. Read between the lines!!
Take a look at who the owners are of the companies that make the 'vaccines' are.

OK if you say so.. I was there and witnessed both death certificates with the incorrect 'cause of death' listed as covid related but yet the doctors both told me otherwise. nuff said.
