A friend has a friend that just got confirmed... Here is her story... Politics aside, and there are plenty, here are the physical aspects... This is a woman in her 60's:

"Mine started with a drippy nose ( like allergies) with complete loss of smell during second week of March. Had no idea those could be COVID symptoms. Ended up 10 days later with a week of hideous, fiery, severe (about 8 or 9 on the pain scale) chest pain ( felt like a hot poker in my chest), awful pain under rib cage, shortness of breath, and two days so far of the worst fatigue, physical weakness and exhaustion I have ever felt. Legs heavy for 3 days, progressively worse, then could barely get up to move, and when I did, it felt like each limb had an extra 50 lbs. An intense fog over my brain. No fever (only 99 degrees at highest), but a firestorm in my chest. Piercing pain on a vertebra at base of head. Whole body felt swollen and achy. My muscles were sore. ER docs said I had a mild case. Tell that to my lungs which have felt like hot raw meat for six days. I am hoping it is on its way out. My shortness of breath lifted a bit tonight. Drs. said the fatigue and extreme exhaustion were very common, that some patients (still mild) had to crawl because they were too weak to walk. I can believe it. The doctors and a couple of ER nurses on two occasions said this virus has manifested with a different set of symptoms in every Covid patient they have seen. This NOT the flu."

This sh*t is all a joke until it hits you or someone close to you. I don’t wish this on no one.

A good friend of mine lost both her grandparents within 2 days of each other, last week, due to Covid-19. They lived in Illinois.

Stay safe and stay home!!

It's no joke. Almost five weeks ago I came down with some kinda crud and felt just dead tired. Within two days I was running a fever and had a persistent dry cough that was outrageous, would not let me catch my breath and became so violent my voice gave. I broke the fever but the cough persisted and my breathing was short, shallow to a point where I was afraid I wasn't going to make it. I was afraid to fall asleep which was incredibly difficult. I actually talked to the Man and said if it's my time, I let go. I'm pretty strong willed, stubborn and never give up when the chips are down. Those traits are my calling card, I earn trust by them. I'm still short of breath when working. Waiting on the test to confirm the antibodies but my coworkers and family are pretty damn sure and in a way I hope I contracted it, I survived. It's not an automatic death sentence but it is one helluva sideways ride if it follows like mine. You'll know it, nothing like anything you've ever had. My first partial week back to work I managed 6 hours a day for three days and then a weekend off where I did nothing but watch..... the Motor Trend channel of course. I managed 8 hours a day the following week but again another weekend on the couch. Could give a beer fart about politics these days, the PanDumbic. Who needs toilet paper, just get two cats.

No, but a good trial run for the real government behind the scenes, on how to handle the public with fear.
Never waste a good disaster.
There are some interesting Scientific ideas on 5g tech side effects too.
and...the press still finds ways to try to blame Trump, lol

I was thinking the exact same thing. I didn't want to turn this into the world vs. 45 debate though it's looking that way.

Let's try and keep politics out of this please. Let's all just try to be positive and stay focused on helping our fellow neighbor and family...and hope that as many folks as possible can get through this unharmed.

My best advice is...don't watch it all day on the news. It can become overwhelming. I watch about fifteen minutes in the morning and for a bit in the afternoon (president's team or state info). Just to stay informed about changes or new guidelines.

Brian.

My wife has been confirmed as being positive with Covid19...... No real serious symptoms and she is fine. Only after the test results came back do they want her, and everyone in our household quarantined...... I mentioned it way back that she should get tested as she works at the hospital. She was basically told NO not until you show any symptoms..... Heck by then just how many people was she around???? It's being handled poorly and people aren't taking it seriously. Is it the black plague?? No, but it has serious effects on older people or people with respiratory issues. My wife now feels awful as she has been around her parents, and her grandma.

14 days started now for me & my family, so we'll see how it goes.

Hoping for a healthy and speedy recovery for your wife...and anyone else that should come down with it in your family.

Haven't visited my parents (85 - 88) or children in about four weeks, just because of the easy transmission of this virus.
