If the only exercise you get is sitting in your Rover - you're at risk.

It's the flu. The flu comes every year. Except this FLU was about accomplishing an elite globalist objective. Mail in ballots, pillaging small businesses, slowing down the fiat money system. So many reasons.

Ask yourself - why doesn't China have any infections?

Pretty sure that is the dumbest thing I have ever read on this forum. Congrats!

My family is in the medical field. we have 9 people throughout the country. You can't imagine the hell they go through daily. It's people like this who keep this pandemic raging. All for the sake of a political belief. My family along w millions of others are suffering because of idiots like this. Uneducated love conspiracy theories. They want to feel special. Like they alone figured something out. In this case it's a virus that kills people. A lot of people. It's primary mode of transfer is the water droplets in your exhale breath. The easiest most effective solution IS. A. MASK. Wear it. And keep away from people for a little while. It's not hard ask New Zealand! Thy are basically covid free because they went into FULL lock down right away. They responded quick and aggressively. The government paid people to stay home as an investment in both it's people and it's economy. Look where we are now.... When there are literally hundreds of thousands of people dying due to purposeful ignorance ...the time for being polite goes out the window. Literally people's lives are at stake here. It's not political. There's no global conspiracy. People are dying and getting severely sick w long term affects because idiots want to think they are special by uncovering this giant conspiracy.

Sad to say but from my interacting with covid-nonbelievers, they won’t accept this covid pandemic is truly a real issue until A) they are infected or B) some close to them is infected. Then it’s too late due to selfishness and pride.
I’ve seen this too many times this past year.

Perfect, stating your option means so much more than name calling. Makes and has a more positive affect on the board.

To some people Covid is nothing more than a flu type virus. My wife got it from work (MRI tech at a hospitial), and yes she had a fever, body aches, and shortness of breath. It lasted 3-4 days of feeling bad & then she got better. Her only side effect was her hair falling out for 3 months afterwards. It then stopped and her hair is no longer falling out.

I personally think I got it in the fall of 2019, as I haven't been sick at all in 2020, however I have the antibodies. When my wife was sick she quarantined and I didn't see her for 14 days, so I didn't get it from her.

People with breathing issues, are certainly high risk as well as older people no doubt. However that is the case with other viruses/flu's as well.

The mask thing is not full proof. You have to also wash your hands on a regular basis, and just use common sense.

It really bothers me when people demand mask & temp checks to get into a store, but once inside you see store employee's and people walking around with nothing.....

For this thing to slow down people need to stay home if sick, wear a mask in public, wash your hands, and only go out when needed. However like any virus it will eventually run it's coarse, but that takes time & it also means more deaths.

On the one hand you have a grossly ill-informed and erroneous opinion that not only ignores reality but actively promotes disinformation while advocating actions that will lead to actual people actually dying...and on the other you have a person calling that person an idiot. Your adherence to a no-name-calling rule, while pleasantly naive and overly simplistic, has also been outflanked by the outlandish disregard for the health and well-being of others which EXACTLY ONE SIDE of this divide promotes. For this reason, I'd argue that they can, and will, and SHOULD, be told how absolutely idiotic their ideas are, each and every time they utter them, until they stop.

And this is your opinion, of me, which is personal...which divides the community of members here. Personally, l believe, a name calling mentality will serve no greater-good or purpose...here. So, all l'm saying is...don't make the exchanges personal. And, someone should be able to defend/support their point of view without name calling, and if they can't...???...what does that say? If belittling, insulting folks is your way of "teaching them a lesson" about their opinion...then so be it...but for me...intelligent conversation and mindful discussion goes a lot farther.

Just keep it civil...

You're incorrect. I criticized a no-name-calling rule, not you. You're almost certainly a lovely person and you definitively have great automotive taste. That's my first point. The second is this isn't a matter of opinion like whether or not a new set of rims looks good and holy moly, they are hideous and I'll just not say anything because I have nothing nice to say. (Which is advice I follow, by the way.) Nor is this a situation where both sides provide evidence and argue in good faith, because there really aren't two sides to this at all, it's reality. There's health experts, science, empirical data, history, and common sense vs. what? Theories? Paranoia? Vague notions of freedom? It's akin to giving equal weight to both "sides" of the Flat Earth "debate." It's a nice idea but facts don't matter to those who deny reality. Where this diverges from my Flat Earth analogy is that pandemic deniers have ideas that will lead to people getting sick and dying. It's a far more toxic level of disinformation, and, as such, countering it can (and should) include ridicule. Pandemic deniers need to be told that their ideas are asinine, because they are. They need to be told that acting on their beliefs---not wearing a mask, no distancing, etc---is endangering their loved ones and neighbors and colleagues, because it is. Silence implies consent.
