It amazes me when people spout that “ we are all gonna die some day ” speech. That all quickly changes when they are suddenly on their death bed suffering and slowly dying.
I’ve got some words for people not taking this pandemic serious... if you get sick from covid, don’t go to the hospital. Don’t go and waste the medical staffs precious time and resources on you because you didn’t want to wear a mask or social distance or not travel around the world just because you needed to prove a point to live your best life.
Just do us a favor and stay at home with your covid symptoms if you aren’t going to comply. Remember... we are all gonna die some day, right?

stay healthy and safe lads...

You are aware that Measles is one the most contagious viruses out there? Like 90% of the non-immune people around a person with measles will get it. Saying Covid is less contagious than measles is about as useless as saying most people drown in water.

I like how people also get hung up ONLY on death stats. Perfectly healthy/fit people who get a bad case of COVID may not die, but that does not mean they are not affected for life. I know someone, not so much a friend as an aquantence.... was very fit and healthy. Recovered form COVID, technically, but his lungs are so damaged that he may be on disability for life. No more marathons for him. It also amazes me that some are so callous about those that die, so what if they had medical issues. They would be alive still were it not for the virus. And with the number of people dying PER DAY exceeding 9/11 you would think they would be outraged. Guess 9/11 was nothing to them too...

That's why I traveled to many countries without bans in 2020 and just got back. I went everywhere ... talked to everyone ... stayed in dozens of hotels and private residences,... multiple flights, hours in crowded airports stuck in LHR and JFK. Eating out every other night for cheap.

While others were quivering inside houses ... .. I was out traveling the world.

7 tests. All negative, I DONT HAVE COVID...
The problem is, the people amongst us who refuse to just do the ‘right thing’ for the benefit of others, and the greater population, and sell to only fulfill their own needs and selfish attitudes that will ultimately be our demise.

it sounds drastic my friend, but it is very real. Forget meteorites, forget earthquakes, forget Mother Nature, the biggest threat to mankind.. is.... mankind. And you sir, are a fantastically outstanding example of that.. 👏👏👏👏

I received my first Moderna jab yesterday.
The only side effect so far is a sore shoulder when I woke up this morning and needing to drink a few beers before breakfast. My wife wasn’t amused.

Default No Joke

Suspect that any virus that in one year kills more Americans then died in the US military in two World Wars and Vietnam cannot be a joke.

On the other hand the virus, any virus, can only spread through contact. If everyone had locked themselves down for two weeks then the virus would have had no host to replicate on. That’s very hard to do and clearly has not been done in many countries. What the Chinese did in Wuhan seems to have worked pretty well. Also countries like Australia and New Zealand that introduced strict quarantining from very early on have had low infection levels.

Suspect we know what needs to be done to stop viruses from spreading and reproducing but are not keen to do it.

At least countries like the Israel, the USA and the UK Have been pushing ahead very quickly with vaccination and hopefully that will have a very positive outcome.

World War I: 9 - 11 million military personnel (Wikipedia with citation)
World War II: 21 - 25 million military personnel (Wikipedia with citation)
Vietnam War: 282,000 US and allied military deaths (Wikipedia with citation)

Coronavirus deaths from first case until today: 532,355 (CDC Covid Tracker)
Total cases from first case until today: 29,269,590 (CDC Covid Tracker) (Still considerably less than the death toll of the three wars.

Coronavirus is a weak strain of a flu virus. Fearmongering and misinformation are what has made this so dangerous, not the virus itself.

If you bothered to read what dpfellows wrote you would see that your numbers are way, way off.... And no, its not a strain of the flu.... I think it's funny you mention misinformation when you yourself repeat it.
