Do you know the "waving" rule?
I live around Chicago. Most Rover owners are stuck up snobs or soccer moms. Waving to them makes them scared.
Unless its a lifted D1/2, older Series, or a Defender that isn't just a status symbol (you can tell right away) I usually don't wave. My fragile ego just can't take the rejection. Haha!

As a relatively new owner, I wasn't sure if there was a wave culture. I'm in NYC so the majority of others that I see have never been close to going off pavement; I'm not even sure that they'd recognise another Rover.
Nevertheless, I think of it in the same way as I do when I'm riding: I'll wave, and be happy if there's a response. If I get an unexpected response (on the bike that's anything from a Harley/cruiser rider) then I'm even happier.
