Default Dream Garage setup

So, if nothing goes wrong for the first time in a long time I will have a house that is mine.

It has a small workshop off the back of the garage probably 8x10 and than a full 2 car garage with higher ceilings.

The workshop area has a wall of shelves built in and not much else. The main garage has a sad looking work bench along the wall. No attic access point in there to work around. The usual crappy 2 one light bulb fixtures.

I am wanting to seal and coat the garage floors as a first project, before we get moved in so to speak. So I've been looking at the options and for ideas on how to make it mine.

Love to see what some of you guys have done, to your garage or found that you liked. Ideas for storage, cabinets, shelving, lighting whatever you can think of I want to look at.

I have no doubt I've watched it happen with each move lol.

My goal this time is to keep it clean and easy to work on things. Before it gets to cluttered wire in a 240 outlet for the welder and a bigger compressor(thinking ahead)

Going to keep an eye open for free cabinets to re-purpose into the garage. There is a 42" led tv already out there, Hoping I get lucky and it works lol I already have speakers, a pioneer home receiver, and a computer for out there. \

It has one wall with some half assed work bench built in almost the full length of the wall.

I have 2 full craftsman tool box set ups, and a craftsman work bench along with a fair amount of heavy duty metal shelves.

I have said to myself on so many occasions "I won't throw it away as it will come in handy later" so many bit's and pieces often do ..... but .... I have so much junk around awaiting use 'in future' I can't remember half of the junk I still have stored, it's like Aladdins Cave in my garage and shipping container. Time is approaching to dump some of the junk I'm afraid ............ I really mean 'afraid'

Short true story. I was watching TV about antiques and there was a whistle in an auction so I said to my wife "I've got one of those". As it transpires it is a 1916 Officers trench whistle made by J Hudson used in Passchendaele at the battle of Ypres in WW1 (it came from my grandfather). So I looked on Ebay, one sold for £75 and I also have an Acme whistle that's very old, a simialr one sold for £30 on Ebay. Quick £100 for old junk in my desk

No such valuable relics laying about in my garage that I know of.

Still doing a ton of research on the floor coatings. I want the cool metallic finish without spending $500. If I can't find a way to do it then it will be standard gray crap with blue flakes
