Nice!! any pics you can share? Yeah, the RRC market is high. Tough to price one this out exactly, import fees and the Europeans are all over us Americans now with the Rovers so prices are highly variable. This one brings a premium due to the condition, mileage, 1-owner with documentation. Our auction site goes live in 2 months, we'd work to get a more respectable reserve set.

Here are a few pictures of one of the first off road trips I took the truck on. It must be about 16-17 years ago. I had only done a 2" lift, installed a set of Dunlop RT's (245/75/16's) that were a great knock off of the old BFG Trac Edge (a favorite amongst Series owners), installed the Brownchurch (cashed in part of my Series Restoration Credit with Rovers North) and the ARB w/ Hella 4000's. The rear bumper came shortly after this trip as did the skid plates and, ulitimately, the air lockers.

I bought the truck from someone I had known, here in CT. He had owned it for a year or two. He was a boater and he really did a great job repairing the front flooring. He had a physical issue with his legs and couldn't deal with the 5 speed so he sold it to me and kept a '92 LSE. I think the truck had about 115K kilometers on the odometer so it was pretty low mileage. It had been imported by a doctor in VT who used the truck rarely and it wound up sitting for several years. The paint had oxidized but it made the truck look even cooler. It was kind of like the matte wraps you see on trucks today.

My wife and I used it several times for month long vacations through the Maritimes in Canada. We would take our two Pulik and camp for weeks on end. All the while, that Range Rover served beautifully as our home away from home.

One day in 2007 I noticed the lower tailgate would not open all the way down. Close inspection showed that the hinges on one side had broken free from the body crossmember. It's all too common a problem. Fortunately, I had a brand new replacement. However, when I removed the two rear quarters, I was faced with a far greater rust issue. The center floor on those old Range Rovers was aluminum BUT the sides and inner side panels were steel. They had badly corroded. There was barely any metal to weld the body crossmember up to. With the help of a friend who was like a madman with a welder, we got the truck together but I knew it was only a matter of time.

By 2008 I pulled the truck from the road and parted out all the cool parts and sent the rest to the crusher. I really think that was the last time I ever let myself get attached to a vehicle. My wife and I had gone through so much with that truck that is was a member of the family.

I should have bought up 04' Disco's years ago over Apple stock and parked them in storage units. $18k is absurd. If an 04 with 100k miles is goin for $18k, I wonder what my 98 with 80k miles is worth, lol. Don't answer that.
