Default emergency prep

Ok, at the risk of being labeled a "prepper" or a nutjob I have the following question based on an upcoming event.
Event: hunting season in the midwest. I am (after basically losing/walking away from every single thing I owned except for my service dog and the clothing on my back due to divorce) I am trying to restock both my rover-kit (the emergency rubber-made container that lives in my rover - i.e. jumper cables, first aid kit (retired army medic so my first aid kit is actually the envy of several local paramedics lol), folding shovel (E-tool), etc.

My question: why should I carry weight of food when I can just throw a ziplock bag worth of protein powder of the kind weight lifters use and a few multivitamins into my backpack (for hunting) and my E-tote (as I call the rubber-made tote that lives in the cargo area of my rover for emergencies)?

both my E-tote and my E-pack contain water purification bottles/straw combo thingys...
basically for the weight of a single MRE I can carry about 4-5 days worth of calories in a single ziplock.

thought? suggestions?

take the protein junk or something t the sort. too much to mess with the space and weight of food. Hunting, you've got a gun...shoot something and eat it.

I do fire/water/emergency (even have a defibrillator in the truck) but food is on the bottom of the list, to tote. If I can't get food before I starve to death.........I had it coming.

Yep, Dusty's got it about right lots of protein thingys, vits if needed and emergency equals patch up kit and a thermal shiny blanket (takes no space at all) like the athletes use. More die from shock hypo than blood loss. Essentials also, compass, maps and sat phone. Not really Crocodile Dundee but who cares

Check out Soylent. It's not People.

One thing I really need to do is get a good emergency kit together that I can toss in the back of the Rover in a moments notice.

Sounds like my kind of food, I hate stopping to eat, it takes too much valuable time. If I could eat a couple of pills as a nutritional replacement for each meal I would.

Imagine this, if you are out to lunch here almost everything stops between 12.00-14.00+ and the whole country stops for lunch. It takes at least 15-20 mins before they take your order, another 15-20 mins before the first course arrives and so on and so on. The whole bl@@dy process takes about 2-2.5 hours every single day ............ what a waste of life and time particularly if you want a quick snack like we often do. Thankfully there is Mc Dos , in, ordered, paid (at the machine), eaten + coffee 25-30 minutes tops. .........................of course unless it's holiday time and there's all the pr@t's with br@ts screaming around and clogging up the place.
