Default A fire that started but couldn't be put out

I'd share the link but can't figure out how to paste on my phone.. Did you hear about the car park fire in Liverpool? Witnesses state it started in the engine of an 'old land rover' 😮

1400 vehicles destroyed.

What a loss...

From the Guardian article:

"Fire investigators believe the fire started shortly after 4.30pm on Sunday, when the engine compartment of a Range Rover Discovery on the second level went up in flames."

[QUOTE=Dave03S;631288]"when the engine compartment of a Range Rover Discovery."

That's some good reporting there

I think you'll find that when push comes to shove there is something more dubious about this event. Someone reportedly saw it start but the fire extinguishers had all been 'misappropriated'. One wonders why!!!

Storm Eleanor flooded our cottage rental a week prior to arriving so this is our replacement 😍 Not too shabby, eh? I've been taking so many photos of Rovers haha, i could write a picture book!! Will post up some soon 😀

Hi KD, I'll PM you re: my theories about the fire in Liverpool that ran right through the multi-storey car park. I didn't do the job I did without seeing the darker motives automatically.

Shame about the storms wrecking the cottage but hey ho, they found you another one which looks good. I see that old Mk 1 sitting in the car park there, they suffer badly from rust in the salty air. We'll be down near Hereford UK come mid April for a week and in the Chichester area for the second week by then my boredom threshold has set in and it'll be time to depart back to France. Maybe grab a couple of weeks in Germany or Austria in September. The D2 is now back in business so I might use that for some long trips to the UK and Germany/Austria. Problem with the ferry to the UK is that in the cabin by the time your head hits the pillow it's time to start moving and driving again, 4 hours only on the ferry.

Take care, be in contact soon.

Ha...wrote a reply here and the stinkin' internet went down 😮 It's sketchy at best hidden in this serpentine hill. Glad you're doing well and the Rover is working again. Taking walks on the coast and watching shows about buried prototype series landrovers with rolls royce engines 😛 I'm obsessed, what can i say?...
