Save yourself the time and headache.


Just buy local. I have done the whole long distance thing and its not all its cracked up to be. IMHO there is a part of an emotional percentage involved in any financial purchase. There should not be but there is. The better buyer is able to keep emotions out and keep it all business. But with something that depreciates and requires a ton of maintenance I would stay local just in case you need to have recourse.
