Well, the silver-lining is...at least you caught it now and can become proactive.
Guy at work had a elevated PSA and it turned out being nothing serious.
Hope your issue turns out the same. Plus, treatments for issues related to an elevated PSA are becoming more positive.

Originally a count of 2.0, a year later, 2.5, a year later 4.4 and now this year 7.5. The threshold is <4.0 so early days yet at least.
At 72 yo I didn't expect to live forever.
