Today is National Chocolate Caramel Day!!!!

 

I worked for Russell Stover Candies for 18 years. I still have chocolate nightmares (in both dark chocolate and milk chocolate), truffle nightmares, fudge nightmares, butter almond toffee nightmares, marshmallow nightmares, etc. etc. etc. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think most of us absolutely hated Valentine's Day!! The boxes were hard to make, hard to pack with candy pieces, and most of all difficult to wrap with various clear and colored wraps before casing the boxes. Our stormtrooper-like company owner was even more difficult to please as he goosestepped through our production plant foaming at the mouth during his company jet fly in "visits". But it was a living and kept my family fed and clothed so for that I am very thankful plus it allowed me to live and explore in the Four Corners area for which I am also very thankful.
