Default help with 05 malibu

anyone here work for chevy or have experience with repairing the plastic back on the front seats in a 2005 chevy Malibu?

my mother in law bought this car used a few years back and not long after the pass seat back fell off, we cannot get it to stay on even ordered a new seatback from the dealer same thing, are we missing something?

it is only held on by 4 plastic door panel trees, it is like the holes in the seat frame are too big or something is missing

On many cars the plastic tree insert into a lpasitc coolar that goes in the hole on the other part. Maybe that's what's missing.

went to Chevy explained the issue to the parts guy and he called GM they stated there was a change in the fasteners 7 YEARS BACK, provided him with a pn# for them and stated the customer had to buy them separate, he was not happy they sent outdated parts, and his part computer does not list the fasteners separate or the superseded #

So when the new ones come in we will try them and return the seatback for the difference.
I am very surprised at the quality of service thus far since the parts guy could have said tuff crap and blew me off
