How old is everyone?

You old fart. You have me beat by 4 years.
Well, they say you're only as old as the woman you feel, so I guess I'm 25. LOL
Even though it was the devil making me, I actually bought my first one when my dad an I bought an IH Super C and my '62 88 Pickup in '74 or '75.

42 here and my second rover. Sometimes I feel beat up and run down, till I hop into the 14 yr old disco with a working CDL. Life is as it should be again.

I'm 25, but I feel much older. I love life, and... yes
When I was a kid, I heard the story of a 60 year old white man whose mission group was kidnapped in South America. All the non-whites were executed immediately, and the 60 year old was ordered to drive the lead convoy vehicle at gun point. The vehicle was a Land Rover.
They drove for an hour through the jungle until they came across a flooded river that had washed out the road. The kidnappers stepped out, and ordered the man to drive across the river. He tried telling them the current would wash the vehicle away. They only shouted louder. The man decided that when the Rover was washed away, he might be able to escape.
So... he began driving. The water reached the axles... then the top of the wheels... and the exhaust pipe was buried. The water reach the top of the doors, and the rover slid sideways with the force of the river. But, then it dug in. He kept on the throttle, and slowly but surely the rover grunted across the flowing river.
With a lurch the rover crawled out of the river, water pouring out. This experience stuck out to the story teller as very profound, even with all the horror around him.
THIS began the chain of events that created my desire to get a Rover. And like everything in life, our desires are manifested into reality, whether we like it or not. My desire to get a Disco changed my life.

Age: The answer to life, the universe, and everything. In other words, I'm 42.
I lived in San Francisco in my 20s and early 30s, and primarily saw dotcom yuppies driving Rovers, so I thought it wasn't the car for me; I was more of a hipster, classic car lover kind of guy.
Fast forward to 2005, a friend offers to sell me his 97 SD for a fair price. I had the cash, and I was expecting twins and needed a kid car, so I snatched it up without thinking. It became obvious to me later that I was secretly in love with Land Rovers even in my days in SF.
I have thrown piles of cash at her for 6 years, and I'll continue to do so because she is mine. I also have a strong desire to get a Defender or a Series, but my wife frowns at me every time I bring it up. She also points out that I have a project car in the garage that needs restoring before I buy any more vehicles.
