Hummer H3 contrasted with Disco 1's:
H3 with the 3.7L I5 and the Adventure Package was a great truck. The Alpha was really nice with the 5.3L, had I owned a 2010 with F/R lockers I'd still have it! They got a bad wrap due to the Bling Bling H2, but I took my H3's out to the same trails I took both my 05 Wranglers (05 TJ Rubicon/05 LJ Sport). The H3's had no issues and it was cool to watch the H3 cruise thru some spots the Jeep's struggled.
I'm happy to see prices are staying up there for clean examples! The H3T Alpha IMHO blows the doors off the 50K + Jeep Gladiator and it looks better IMHO. The hardcore H3 guys were doing Solid Axle Swaps & after that nothing really stopped them.
My 08 Alpha I paid 17.9k for with an ARB bumper and Warn M8 winch. It had 80k on it and looked brand new. I owned it 4 years, put 60k on it, and I sold it for 17.1k and I made another 1k off my Gobi Stealth Roof Rack. I'd call that a pretty good deal. I went with an LR3 after the H3 Alpha and I should have just stuck with the H3 Alpha.
