Hypothetical question: if you could relocate anywhere in the US where would it be?
I work from home and my only job requirements are that I have reliable fast internet access and be reasonably near a major airport.
My own requirements are:
1. No oak trees. I'm very allergic to oak pollen and it is killing me.
2. Interesting landscape, mountains, rivers, etc with a variety of trails.
3. Reasonable cost of living, houses in the $200K range.
4. My other interest is photography: outdoor, landscape, wild life, birds, Land Rovers in their natural environment.
5. Rivers full of trout and fly fishing.
So where would that be?

I live in Colorado Springs, CO and it sounds like you just described home. Ok, maybe #3 might be a bit hard to swing if your wife is a particular as mine, our 3 year old 4 bedroom 3100 sq ft condo is listed for $317,000. But everything else is spot on for the Springs area and as an added bonus we get 300+ days of sunshine per year. You should check it out.

Yep, winter time around here is a real downer (I came here from TN and before that FL), but you seriously can't beat this area in the summer. But fair enough about the In-Law buffer
