I thought about the temp outlet, but I would need to do some dry wall work to do it as the box is in a finished wall. So really like the 220 idea but I can't do it at this place and don't know about future places but I'll always have a 110 outlet.

Fish of course you didn't Nun killing is reserved for sunday's and harbor freight welders.

Detoured, I could buy the MIG 140 now but I'm pretty turned off by HTP It seems like a damn nice unit but I'm not sure I want to deal with a company that knows that little about their own product and prices. When it comes time to need parts or consumables I don't want to be wondering if I will be able to get what I need. If I stick with one of the big 3 that shouldn't be a problem. I should be getting to look at a hobart tomorrow.

Maybe you could run your 220 welder off a generator?

As far as 110 units go I've been happy with my Northern Tools 135. I've had it since 2008 and it's worked great. But I've only used it with flux core. When I bought it I was told they were made by Hobart, but I don't know if it was true.

Ok I'm reviving this one. It's been almost a year since I bought my Eastwood MIG175. So to update this, I'm currently in the process of getting the second replacement unit for my welder. While it work it was good and welded well. But my first two units had some issues with the wire feed. The second unit had the wire feed issue and had the gas shut off valve go bad.

I'm really not sure if I'm going to keep this third unit when it gets here. I might just try and sell it on CL and buy something better. Eastwood customer service has been ok to deal with which is the only positive part of my experience with Eastwood.

The plasma cuter also blew an air coupling. But I decided to fix that myself since it was on the weekend and I still needed to use it.

At this point I think I'm pretty much done with Eastwood and I don't think I'll be buying any more of their products.

AR, I use one of these now ..........

Tig Welder DC, 160Amp DC Inverter Tig Welders, Tig Welding Equipment

I used MIG for some time but I am a dedicated TIG user now along with some stick work also (my old stick transformer has seen better days) I can recommend TIG as an alternative.
