So much energy on a $8 part

Good news - No one is forcing you to buy from Lucky8.

I would like to see what the OP wrote in the reviews

Couple points...

Unless you made your own cdl install video you should stfu. Your bitching more about them making it than you attempted to do one yourself.

Since I too deal with shipping and receiving in all aspects of my life, there is a common occurance that seems to be happening with receiving things...companies will not have the part but ship an empty box or have a box shipped with a hole in the side.
I purchased a car parts for my Saab, I always ask if they can check stock or how many they have in stock before I place my order. Anyway, on this particular sale, they said it wasnt a common sell item and they would get it out to me, quantity was 1.

I received an empty box with a small hole punched in the side, my order only took 2 days and I had paid for quick shipping.

I called from my work phone, same day it was delivered, asked if they had any of that same part in stock. They said yes, they had 1.

Hmmm. Could it have been restocked that quickly? So I asked, did you just get one in? Answer was no, I then went into my complaint about how I didnt get it and it had a hole in the side.

They took my information and said they would have to file a complaint with the shipper and, I had to pay for another part because I needed it for my work vehicle. So I bought the one on the shelf. I received that one in two days...i called back 3 days later and their stock was 0. Two weeks later it was still zero...so they didnt restocking quickly...

A month went by and I received nothing. I called the shipper, they would not give me a yes or no that my claim was approved, but the lady on the other end, after begging her for a minute or two said, she couldnt help me but, I should call the business for my compensation, have a nice day...

So was she giving me a hint?

I called the business and they said it was denied.

So what really happened, they kept my money for the first one, or it really did get stolen and they just happened to get another one in, in a day...then they made money off the second one I purchased, and then, kept the shipping money...

That's what I believe.

I no longer buy parts from that Saab business.

As far as the negative feedback in this case, i would block people too. Why? Because, it's a two way street, if you dont let the seller ample time to fix it, you're a poor consumer and I should be able to not sell you something. Just like, the cake company that refused to make wedding cakes for gay couples. Businesses throw people out of their business all the time, same thing applies here. When you buy, let the seller make it right, if they refuse then hit them with the negative.

If L8 has an idiot just blocking people for the hell of it, then L8 needs to fix that issue.

As someone who works with inventory (in)accuracy on a daily basis I think you're lacking an appreciation for how inaccurate the computer count will be. This is especially true for things that aren't sold frequently (like your part). In all likelihood they had 2 on the shelf but system said 1. The hole in the box makes sense in this case too - it was in there and got banged around and fell out. When they filled the part they noticed the system said 0 but the had 1 on the shelf and made the adjustment in the system.

When it comes to denying your claim however, I have no explanation..that's messed up.

I know all about inventory. If I have to explain myself, I will...but I also know that for someone to send me that first one, there should have been some kind of slip printed etc, now, maybe they missed doing it right the first time and not the second idk, but I paid twice for the same part, paid shipping twice for the same order, and I lost my claim money. The business offered no discount, nothing.

Yeah - off inventory count is one thing - poor customer service is something entirely different.

I've ordered from Lucky I many times and the product ALWAYS arrives within a few days, a week at most. Although, I never knew about a discount for forum members. Man, how much have I missed out in savings? Lol.

When the OP placed their order, we did in fact lose it in the process of transcribing orders from eBay to our shipping program as we let the user know. We had been in contact with you via several eBay messages, so to say we didn't speak with you is false. You claimed to receive an empty envelope when we shipped your $8 key, so we in good faith sent a 2nd. If you think about it, we are selling something for $8/delivered. We cover shipping and eBay fees. There is hardly anything left over with such a small transaction, yet we still paid for and shipped a 2nd key. The only better service I could offer is to deliver it in person. It is company policy to block users who leave negative feedback before the transaction is complete. eBay even agreed that the feedback you left was unjust and removed it as it was against their user policy.

Thank you to everyone who left kind and supportive remarks. Some of you have been around with us since the beginning in 2006 and we appreciate your continued support and we look forward to keeping up the demand and wheeling with you and sponsoring your future events and this forum.
yes, we had several contacts. the initial was initiated by me about a week after it was supposed to have arrived.
You did admit that you lost the order... no biggie.
then when i recieved the empty bag/envelope, whatever you call it, i actually laughed. I wasnt upset, It was almost comical.
I did fianlly recieve the item.

I left an honest, non malicious feedback that relayed the long time it took for me to actually recieve the part.

AGAIN, i am not posting this about that partiular transaction, I am, however a little miffed that you banned me from ebay purchases. that is kind of a jerk move....
I will not name any names but i recieved a few PM's that relayed similar reactions from you guys to others...

I understand that things appen, the ball gets dropped, etc... But own up to it and move forward.

AGAIN, im not complaining about the delay in the FOB, but your actions afterwards.

I am a great EBAY buyer, pay prompt and have only left a few negative feedbacks, always with legitimate complaints.

I also take issue with your statement about the "Claimed" empty bag... it was empty, only thing in it was air... i was in no way tying to stick you for an extra key, to imply that is again a jerk move.

i left the feedback long after i was supposed to have recieved the part.

You ased me to remove it and i told you i would CONSIDER it after i got the part..

then i got the empty bag... LOl, you want me to leave a good feedabck?

you knew you had a customer service issue and did not take enough care to make sure you the product was actually sent out?

I dont recall every agreeing to remove it.

Honestly had you sent me any sort of "sorry we dropped the ball" message, etc, i would have made mre of an effort to remove it. After i finally got the part i moved o and forgot all about it.

Also if i remember correctly i was not getting much response from ebay initially, and had to call and leave voicemails before i got any response.

youre correct, i was not here to bash that particular trnsaction, ust thier response to my feedback.

I wrote nothing ugly, nothing inaccurate, nothing spiteful.. very plain and factual.

youre also correct that no one is forcing me to buy from them... I was actually trying to buy from them again when i found out that they had banned me,

I Have spent several thousand dollars on this rig since i bought it. i think i may have ordered from them outside of ebay, not sure.

hell, had i not found out they banned me i would have definately bought from them again, no problem... but not now.
