Not sure which Rover to purchase
I found a 1992 Range Rover county LSE Classic for a little under 2 grand. The owner says it sputters out at 10-15 miles into driving, he thinks it's because sediment in the tank, which makes sense cause it sat around for 2 years. That'll be an easy fix, I'll get a new fuel filter too. There is also a 1997 Land Rover disco SD for $1650, it has a few problems, like burning oil and an exhaust leak, it needs a new gasket too. I'm unsure which one too get, all of your opinions would be great about which is better and why, and on why should I get one over the other. Thanks

Q#1 why was it sitting around for 2 years? problem is any vehicle left sitting around deteriorates over that time unless in a heated garage. Get the vendor to fit the new gas filter prior to committing to buy the truck. If it cures the problem then buy it otherwise it could be something more serious.
Like used car salemen, never believe the vendor or their diagnosis as it's usually played down 'cos they are trying to sell you the truck. Wouldn't it have been more sensible for them to have fixed the problem before selling or is it really some other problem you can't fix on the cheap.
