Posers Driving Land Rovers
I just got back from the local junkyard and there is a white D1 with original side emblem with a bad tranny. I was told the owner had it 10 months and could not afford to repair the tranny and had to choose between rent and repair.
I think this type of person has no business owning a Land Rover. Now there is a nice D1 getting picked clean when all she needed was a new tranny.
I try my best to emphasize the cost of ownership to people interested when they ask me on the street or wherever. I want everyone thinking about buying these cars to know they gotta pay to play.
It's a shame all the Discos pouring into the junkyards because of these people ..

This is drying up the supply of Disco's and parts.

It's important people know it takes a true hardcore owner before they buy this car. I started ranting about this years ago after watching a women pay with EBT and drive off in a run down Disco II. She had no business driving any Land Rover. Pretty soon there will be no D II's on the road if this keeps up.
