I know the Honda had a D1 partnership. Rover made Integras?

Huh, I'm awake. This may start a rash of "I want to drop a Honda Integra engine into my $267 Discovery"....

Might want to use the "high torque" version from the 99-01 CR-V

Honda had a partnership with rover for a while. The 1st generation Acura legend and the Rover 825 (sold as the sterling 825 in the us) were designed jointly. Engines and transmission provided by Honda, the chassis were intended to be provide by rover. The legend was built in Japan and the 827 built in England and you can see the same build quality issues that Land Rovers have. Similar partnerships existed with Isuzu, notice the rodeo/passport and the odyssey/oasis.
