What are you guys listening to today?
Great vid tuercas viejas, these guys/gals who fly these old DC planes in the inhospitable airways over jungles have my respect - they must have real BIG gonads in his case, I'm not sure the co p would appreciate them though. I did a PPL some years ago and flew C152, Gulfstream Cheetah and a Firefly. Not quite the same trauma though over the safe (ish) airways in the south of England and northern France. There were three airplanes I always wanted to fly or passenger in, a Spitfire or Hurricane, a Harrier and an F16, none of which I've succeeded in unfortunately.
c'est la vie.

OK
Yes agreed
But what about this:-
Tank vs Range Rover Challenge Part 2 - Top Gear - BBC - YouTube
My son thinks the Challenger is the best and is suitably impressed as a young man.

Good vid but it's ruined by that twit Jeremy Clarkson. Top Gear once was a realistic programme reviewing real everyday cars that ordinary everyday people could afford and drove but now it's fantasyland and not really that trick. Until I moved to France I used to live about a 10 minute drive from Dunsfold Aerodrome where they make Top Gear, it was once a WW2 fighter base then belonged to British Aerospace and now they make crass movies there.

In all honesty I think those guys in the tank could have disposed of him for real within the first 20 seconds.

Since you live in France you probably have a handle on the French language, so hows about the real off roading experience done as a daily level of human existence in Africa. This next clip makes American/Brit green laning and enforced trips to Moab as being just a bunch of Candy "arsed" weekend activities to talk about over a beer.

That's not offroading tuercas viejas that's purgatory on wheels. Probably help if the trucks were in better condition and not so overloaded with rubbish goods.
It reminds me of a trip in the 90's between Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan in Borneo during the rainy season, the roads which had been washed away ran along ravines which had 1000+ ft drops and inches to spare. The problem was there were always logging trucks coming in the opposite direction which added to the hazards. We were in a Toyota Landcruiser. It was bad but nothing as bad as that and we covered 200kms in about 6-8 hours. Not a journey I would want to repeat.
