Gotta say, looking back, hated the outfits they wore in those days though

ScreamingLife, your Dad had good taste then. I like your selection but I'm biased as I'm also a PF fan. An old pal, Steve O'Rourke, was their manager so I met them sometimes.

hehe.. and here I thought Dusty was talking in tongues again..... looking forward to the Oscars and Fandango Frontrunner predictions?

I couldn't believe how looooooong that video was France - perfect for a weekend morning..

ScreamingLife - love the lyrics:

'Strangers passing in the street
By chance two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me.
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand
The best I can.'

I have to say that PF is much better than that dark stuff you were listening to a few weeks back - I'm a rose-tinted glasses type of girl....

Also a good listen of that one is the Van Morrison version.

favorite song of Van Morrison... 'someone like you' - video is lacking but song is sweet.

My dad raised me to appreciate musicianship and he said that you could find few bands better than Pink Floyd when it came to that. I play bass and modeled my playing off of early Roger Waters style, at least early on, though I never much liked Roger vocals. My dad met them as well in the early 70s, and saw them on a few different tours.

KernowDiscovery, I enjoy Echoes lyrics, however I really felt the last verse of Childhood's End:

Who are you and who am I
To say we know the reason why?
Some are born
Some men die
Beneath one infinite sky
There'll be war
There'll be peace
But everything one day will cease
All the iron turned to rust
All the proud men turned to dust
And so all things, time will mend
So this song will end

I dunno what you are talking about!?! That stuff is great, just different. I try different flavours of music out as much as I can.

Though, a careful observer should already know who my favorite band of all time is...

[not related to my previous statement, just one of my favorite driving songs]

Also, this is the first song I ever mastered on bass... why? I don't think my 13 year old brain had any reason why...

Wow.. both of those songs - 'supernatural delight' and 'I'll be your lover' conjured up the image of a trail party by moonlight - all Land Rover enthusiasts....dancing. First to Supernatural delight and then heading on over to the slow song....

good picks.

This snow can leave anyday now and it would be alright by me I'm heading to Bedfordshire.. big day tomorrow - changing Bertha's oil.
