ok, i guess I phrased it wrong. If I came home with fresh mud on the rover and he didnt go with me I would never make it into the house!
And the chances of getting him into the cargo area are about the same as getting the wife to ride back there. slim to none.
so a dog divider is pointless. I had thougth briefly about getting one and decided to see if he would load up back there (and since he decided to chase a duck into a swamp and had a hideous amount of muck on him) I opened the cargo door and told him to "get in!". After looking at me with complete disapproval, he jumped in and proceded to climb him muddy *** over the seats and into "his" spot, i.e. riding shotgun, tracking mud and swamp water everywhere along the way. Well hell, what was I to do? I am the guy who once got swamp water inside the rover up to our ankles (it was a deeper swamp than I thought. dont ask...) AND shotgun has been his spot his entire life (unless the wife is with us) I decided to just hose it out when I got home. Yea he runs the show in the rover but he is a good dog so we put up with it. Im just glad he doesnt have thumbs and longer legs - Id never get to drive my own truck!

Sadly we not back yet. I will be back in the states in the next month or so. The rest of our group will be about 2 weeks behind me. So the "Great Rover Repair of '10" begins soon followed immediately by plenty of group-stupid activities. hehe.

You gonna come out and play with us when we go do aformentioned stupid activities in our rovers?

I'm sure you're counting the days to get home! Let us Washington folk know when you guys get back, I've gotten a taste of the Ft. Lewis trails and need some more, but thought I'd need some backup before testing out some of those more "questionable" spots on my own

Good deal - I will hit you up on our next group outing - it is always better to make bad decision when you have LOTS of backup...
