P0496 EVAP System High Purge Flow
Range Rover Evoque 2018/2019
Sounds like after checking the gas cap the next stage is to replace the purge valve (I don’t have smoke to detect for leaks)
Can someone confirm location of the valve, difficulty on replacement and any other tips. I don’t know if related but I’m also noticing a sound when driving at speed, I can only describe as high-revs? Not sure if it’s related to this issue or something else.

I am dealing with the situation right now It started off when I was at the gas pump I would have issues of it starting afterwards and sometimes even not run that well but it was always after getting gas. Now it's to the point to where it will not accept more than a gallon of gas at a time It's as if it's full and it starts to overflow. Anyway I'm dealing with evap issues and I have studied the evap system in my Discovery sport as if my life depends on it lol The Purge valve is located in the engine bay on the left side sort of but it's really easy if you get lucky and that's all you need. I'm trying to find something that will cross reference so I can get it cheaper but I'm having difficulty with the connector not being the proper one. Someone said Hyundai is a good fit and then there's one on Amazon but terrible reviews. The canister and the rest of the EVAP system is behind the wheel on the driver's side passenger. Good luck!
