Exclamation SOS Alert Issue ----ARGH!

Hi! I have a 2016 Evoque and live in a very rural area in southeast Missouri. I went to an auto repair shop in Jonesboro, AR (45 mins. away) who specializes in German and Land Rover vehicles, because the closest Land Rover dealership is a 4 hour round trip ordeal. I originally needed to upgrade the Evoques’ primary battery. ($471.91) When I got in the Evoque to drive it away, I noticed an “SOS” yellow alert and turned off the car, and returned back to the auto repair shop, German Auto Tech, to tell them of my findings. They ran diagnostics and explained it was coding an auxiliary battery issue. I made a 2nd appointment to have this repaired. I pre-paid for the part and waited for it to come in. They installed the auxiliary battery for $633.03 and I drove the Evoque off the lot. I was 2 blocks away and the “SOS” alert came on.
I returned to German Auto Tech and they ran diagnostics and told me that there was now a short in the suv’s antenna. The shop would need a few days to determine the parts and labor, but I could drive my suv without any issues. I didn’t hear anything for 2 weeks, but I did continue to call in every couple of days. GAT called with the information, there was a shortage of the part needed, finding only 2 left in America so I quickly authorized $2057.81 for the shark fin style antenna section of my suv, only to receive a call back from my contact asking me to instead take my Evoque on to Memphis, to the Land Rover dealership and have them run their diagnostics on it to be sure of the SOS Alert issue, as German Auto Tech was just not 100% sure it was the antenna, and at $3244.77 parts and labor, for their bill, they wanted a second opinion.
I called Bluff City Jaguar Land Rover and secured an appointment for Monday, 04/20/26 with Advisor, Robert Hill. Mr. Hill was very professional and explained everything along each step. The actual technician #353 exact words/outcome is as follows;
Customer states limited SOS Light displayed. Please inspect. During performed diag used scanner for read codes and found code B1A56-15 Antenna Circuit Short or open to battery, necessary contact to TA for code out the TCU this because TCU System does not support software at 2016 year due to being on a 2G Network the TCU no longer communicates with the 5G network, this TCU version is no longer manufactured and can not be replaced. Features are also no longer active and will require code out instead of replacement. Customer declined estimate this time for contact to TA and code out the TCU.
Mr. Hill also explained to me, this “coding out" would require a full day and an engineer to accomplish, which I’d need to return to complete, and could not be accomplished this day since it was already noon. Fee to complete this coding out would be : $863.30 He went on to tell me it would obliterate my navigation software, making it disappear which is the main reason I realized I had to try my best to start reaching out to anyone that can help me, as that will not be an acceptable outcome. I am determined to discover a way to learn how we can once and for all stop the SOS Alert from appearing and get my Evoque programmed to the 5G network standards. Knowing there are any Land Rovers left out there on the road with obsolete software platforms should be of concern to someone!!

Has ANYONE else has this SOS Alert issue??? Surely I can't be the only one, the way the Advisors gathered around and spoke about the 2G ====>>> 5 G issue every older Evoque should have it.
