Default 06 Range Rover HSE Timing chains

So my new to me, 2 month old L322 with the Jag engine is giving me a little pause for concern. At start up, I'm getting timing chain rattle for about 3 seconds and it's gone. It's a higher mileage car (164k miles), but it's ridiculously clean, and I'm expecting to have issues to straighten out. My question is do I do a complete kit on it with this much mileage? Or do I just have my guy do the tensioners? I'm planning on having a short block ready for it, but I was hoping for at least a year yet out of this engine. Okay, let the newbie have it! Brake thread coming next!

I would guess the just the tensioners, the 4.4 Jag motor is extremely robust. Before you go in try a simple oil change unless you have already had one done. Buddy had picked one up and it rattled on start up came to find the previous owner was using 0-20 oil . Changed it to 5w30 and never another peep from it.

Running 5-30. Because I will tow, run off road in the woods and on the beach several times a year, plus highway travel, I'm thinking I might do the complete service.

Hey ArmyRover, just wanted to give you an update since you were kind enough to try to help! So, it goes in on Monday for all tensioners and guides. The uppers are definitely the issue, but they're going to do all of them. Then when I get it back, I get to drop the valve body from the trans, and replace all the solenoids! Clutch lock solenoid is going out. Hopefully, that will be all the big stuff for a bit.
