2007 Range rover l322 3.6tdv8 alternator
Hi all, im looking for some advice please, i have a 2007 range rover l322 3.6tdv8, i checked the output voltage of the alternator/battery with my multimeter at the battery terminals, and at tickover im getting between 14.7v and 14.9v.
i changed the battery today as the old one is about 5 years old now and only reading 11.7v at rest, the car still started ok but its only a matter of time until it gives up so i replaced it with a 019 as advised, the reading is still between14.7v and 14.9v even with the new battery, is this correct? Iv seen different numbers between 13.5v and 15.5v on different groups so i dont know what it should be, i thought it may be a little high?
Also do i need to have the new battery registered to the car?
Any advice will be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance
Steve.
