Default 2008 RR Radio Still Not Working

So I have read almost every post out there that I could find about my 2008 RR radio not working. I did the whole disconnect the battery, I replaced the CD ROM player with one that works and I also disconnected the BT fiber optic and did the bypass, and yet, still no radio. Now, I have gotten further then I did with the old unit in, I can now access the secret screen by pressing the LR screen for 6 seconds and then the nav button, but I can't get the radio to work. I can get the Nav to work but as soon as I turn off the vehicle, everything goes back to a locked screen and then I have to go through the whole process again. At this point I feel it's somehting simple but I can't put my finger on it. I really don't want to buy a BT unit for $150 but if I have to I guess that's what's next. At what point do you say screw it and put in an aftermarket unit? Any help at this point would be great ...

Are you sure that your amplifier is not bad? Water in the back is a problem. My BT module was bad and i had to bypass it. The MOST fiber optics will shut the whole system down sometimes if one component is bad. I'd start there. Good luck!
