Default Removing Nav Radio

I have an 04 HSE that came with the nav radio. The faceplate was busted off and laying in the seat. It has the 2 horizontal holes at bottom corners.

I have the crutchfield tools for removal but cant figure out how to get it out. Also in ordering a new unit I assume that I order a unit compatible with the alpine system? Any thoughts?

you will put the tool in the slots about 1/2 inch, and I believe push towards the outside. The radio has a o-ring on the back of it that makes it a little hard to get out but it will come out. I think there is some posts on here about it, try a search also look at utube
