I have a 2011 Range Rover HSE 5.0 (Non Supercharged) that has been having issues and goin into restricted performance mode. I have a Gap IID Tool to look at the fault codes.
I purchased the car with 100K on it and it had a bad head gasket. I took it to a private Range Rover Specialist Shop and had the heads, timing chain and guides as well as coolant pipe update and anything else recommended while they were in there.
I have had a fault with the Bank 2 upstream O2 Sensor which I replaced and the Bank 2 Mass airflow sensor also replaced. However, I am continuing to have the restricted performance mode activated. I was getting fault code of random misfire cylinders 2 4 6 and 8 and ordered a new coil from Napa. I did not know at the time and which cylinder was misfiring and attempted to swap it between them to see if I could get the issue to go away. I did not seem to have an luck.
I have since realized I can look at the live values and see the misfire counts on the cylinders. I am unsure however how the restricted performance works and if it is creating the misfire to limit the engine to 4 cylinders. Primarily I see misfire counts on Cylinder 2.
I see two categories? in the IID GAP tool: Misfires counts for catalyst damage output, and misfire counts for emissions failure. I have a new Bosh Coil that I replaced with a new spark plug on Cylinder 2 but no improvement.
I have seen information to suggest there may be an injector issue causing the misfire. Are there Live values I can Look at on the Gap IID tool to determine the fuel information. I see a difference in the spray pulse widths between engine banks. .00198 and .00155 This is while driving in restricted performance mode at 2,000rpm. Also looking at Fuel rail pressure on Bank 2
Hoping for some information on reading the live values and suggestions of what reading to focus on to determine next step. new injectors, fuel pump?
Any assistance appreciated.
