Default 2011 TDV8 4.4 Amber DPF warning not showing despite 23g showing on IID Tool

Hello everyone, first post on this site so a quick introduction is only fair I guess. I'm a long term Range Rover owner having had a number of Classics (3.5 and 3.9), moved to a P38 then a Discovery 2 a Freelander 2 (which I still have) and now a 2011 L322. I've had never ending DPF issues which are now almost sorted, new N/S inlet manifold, Plenum and hoses have stopped the fill rate going up at an alarming rate and is more in keeping with how it should be. The issue I have is that when it comes to the vehicle trying to carry out a regen, the process starts but the temperatures on the exhaust sensors are incorrect. Instead of getting up to 600c on sensor 2 I get around 450c, however, sensor 3 reads at 600+c. After a lot of research it would seem that these figures should be the other way round, sensor 2 being at the start of the DPF where the heat needs to be to burn off the soot. The temperatures are only maintained for around 5 minutes when they drop down to around the 350c mark. I have tried setting cruise to 55MPH on a quiet motorway but instead of the soot level going down, in goes up (albeit slowly). If I leave the motorway and come back via an A road with traffic lights and roundabouts, the soot level drops by 2 or 3 grams each time I come to a stop. Because of all the hassle I've monitored the soot level each time I've been out, today it stands at just below 23 grams and I should have an amber warning light but none is showing. I should mention that the DPF has been removed and cleaned and the vehicle has been told it's got a new DPF using the diagnostic tool and all is fine until obviously it fills up again. On one or two occasions I've had a plume of smoke billow out of the exhaust which I assume is unburnt diesel?

Any body have any ideas or have heard of anything similar before?
